Alvaro accumulates over seven years of experience in the Aerospace Industry, including an extensive knowledge of Ground and Flight Testing after three years of specific dedication to Air Systems development and certification.
After completing his studies in mechanical engineering at the University of Seville (Spain) and at the University of Sheffield (United Kingdom), Alvaro moved to France to work for the French Ministry of Defense’s ONERA in 2012. As a design engineer in ONERA, he developed the mechanical design, from concept to fabrication, of an aircraft icing probe prototype for the European Union HAIC (High Altitude Ice Crystals) program using CAD and FEA software tools. In 2014, Alvaro moved on to a new role as a research engineer at the National Research Council Canada (NRC) 5ft Trisonic Wind Tunnel in Canada, where he spent four years conducting both experimental wind-tunnel tests and numerical CFD simulations on aircraft including the Bombardier Global family and the NASA Common Research Model (CRM) while he was earning his Ph.D degree in Mechanical Engineering – Experimental Aerodynamics.
In 2017, Alvaro joined the ES3AERO team, where he has been working on the Mitsubishi Spacejet flight test program for three years as a systems engineer specialized in air management, environmental control, fire protection and ice protection systems. In this role, he supported design review and systems integration on the flight test vehicles achieving a JCAB/FAA certifiable production configuration. He prepared and conducted type certification ground and flight tests to validate the systems requirements for 14 CFR Part 25 compliance. During these tests, he managed maintenance and instrumentation technicians while leading the coordination with suppliers and certification authority both at the flight test center and in deployments. Alvaro also had an active role participating in safety review boards and creating, reviewing and managing aircraft restrictions to guarantee reliable and safe operation of the flight test vehicles.
Consultant for Ground and Flight Test – Propulsion System at ES3AERO focused on Engine, Fuel and APU System Integration and Development & Certification testing.
Adam started his aerospace career back in 2015 working for Bombardier at the Flight Test center in Wichita where he participated in the Development and Certification testing of the Air Management System for the Lear 85 before moving over to support the CSeries Flight Test. He was hired by ES3AERO in May 2017 as a Flight Test consultant for the Systems Engineering Team and started working on the Development and Certification Test of the SpaceJet – Mitsubishi Aircraft Corporation (MITAC) in Seattle, Washington. Within his time at MITAC, Adam has prepared and conducted type certification ground and flight tests to validate the systems requirements for 14 CFR Part 25 compliance for the Fuel System, Engine and APU.
Additionally, Adam has being an active contributor for two separate Hot Weather campaigns in Arizona where subsystems of engine and APU were tested under extreme conditions for performance and compliance with regulations. Both Hot Weather campaigns sort new solutions to reoccurring obstacles and trade studies that would optimize performance without sacrificing parts life. In this role in the Flight Test team, he supported design review and systems integration on the flight test vehicles achieving a JCAB/FAA certifiable production configuration. Adam has been able to constantly provide a pathway forward when the schedule pressure was high.
German Hernandez Camacho
Consultant for Ground and Flight Test – Propulsion System Specialist at ES3AERO
Bringing over 11 years of experience in the Aerospace Industry and an extensive knowledge of Ground and Flight Testing with 6+ years of specific dedication to Propulsion Systems development and certification in military and civil aviation.
German started his career back in July 2005 working for the Spanish Air Force in the Aircraft Maintenance Department where he was in charge of analyzing the inspection plans for the F-18 aircraft and engines. He then moved to the private aerospace industry and worked for ITP, an aero engines and turbine manufacturer located in Madrid (Spain).
In April of 2010 German moved to Seville (Spain) to work as a Flight Test Analysis Engineer for Power Plant at Airbus Military. Working as a consultant he was involved in the Airbus A400M project until May 2014. During those years German gained experience in Ground and Flight Testing. He played a key role during the test campaign for the development of the Power Plant TP400-D6 Turboprop engine. He worked on the steady state engine performance assessment, engine health checks validation and engine transients’ characterization among other subjects related to the design of the Propulsion System.
From June 2014 until December 2016, German worked as a Flight Test consultant in the development and certification of the Propulsion System of the MJR – Mitsubishi Aircraft Corporation (MITAC) in Nagoya, Japan.
Montse Gonzalez Barreiro
Consultant for Ground and Flight Test – Electrical System Specialist at ES3AERO
Bringing 8 years of experience in the Aerospace Industry and an extensive knowledge of system Ground and Flight Testing with 6+ years of specific dedication to Electrical System design, development and certification.
Montse has been working for over 6 years as Electrical System Specialist. From June of 2010 to January 2012, she served as Electrical System Engineer at the Design Office of the Airbus A380, the world’s largest passenger airliner. Among her tasks, she worked closely with the supplier identifying and reviewing design weaknesses of the electrical system in order to find the best design changes.
From January 2012 to 2016 she worked in Toulouse (France) for the Electrical System Design Office of the Airbus A350 and A380 programs participating in the initial system architecture design, definition of requirements for the Electric Power Systems (Electrical Power Generation System, Transformer Rectifier Units, Batteries and Ram Air Turbine), definition of the Verification and Validation strategy, and also writing laboratory, ground and flight test requirements. She was actively involved in the integration and certification of multiple standards within the Electrical Power System of the Airbus A350 helping to achieve a successful first flight and entry into service providing the technical support during the test executions at the laboratory and during the aircraft ground testing, giving valuable feedback and collaborating in the preparation of the data analysis and test reports. In parallel, Montse has also provided technical support to the in-service fleet, performing post entry into service flight test analysis for the A350 and A380 electrical system.
Earlier in her career from October 2008 to June 2010 Montse served as an engineer for the Manufacturing and Supply Chain department for Airbus Group-Spain. During that period, she prepared and updated technical documentation for several modifications of the Airbus A380 structure, and for the verification of proper understanding and implementations of those modifications made by the suppliers.
Consultant for Ground and Flight Test – Air System at ES3AERO
Bringing over 4 years of Aerospace Industry experience with over 3 years of focused Air Systems certification knowledge.
From 2013 until 2016 he worked in the Air Systems group for Bombardier Flight Test Center Wichita, where he participated in the certification and sustaining activity of the CSeries 100 and 300, and supported sustaining activities for the Challenger and Global aircraft lines. From his role in certifying this airframe he brings experience in specialty air systems testing for cold and hot weather operations, flow balancing, and waste water operation. He focused his efforts during these testing campaigns on test preparation, test execution as either a crew member or from telemetry, and data analysis for quick configuration changes before additional testing.
Caleb received his Bachelors of Science in Aerospace Engineering and a minor in Math from Wichita State University in May 2015. During his first years in school Caleb interned for the National Institute of Aviation Research as a test operator for ITAR projects. There he tested and analyzed data from structural tests conducted on material coupons provided by customers until June 2013.
