Ignacio García, Co-Founder & Executive Officer
Mr. García has over 9 years of experience in Flight Testing and his primary skills lie in integrating novel technologies into safe and practical experimental Flight Vehicles, particularly Fuel System and Inerting System and in APU and Fire Protection technologies. He served as a CSERIES Fuel and Inerting Flight Test System Engineer at Bombardier Inc., a Canadian multinational aerospace and transportation company. In this capacity, Mr. García’s responsibilities included participating in Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) and Fire Detection (FIDEX) testing, leading the Fuel and Inerting Systems Development and Certification for Flight Testing, and working closely with the Flight Operations team. Mr. García has also served as Acting Project Lead for the Company, coordinating the activities of a 9-engineer team.
From 2008 to 2013, Mr. García served as a Mechanical Systems Flight Test Engineer for Airbus Military in Madrid, Spain. In this capacity, Mr. García worked on aircraft fuel systems as part of the Development and Certification of the Tanker programs for the Mechanical Systems Flight Test Analysis department. His responsibilities included air dispatch for Flight Test Vehicles, aircraft system troubleshooting, telemetry support, and on-site support during aircraft deployments for Flight Test campaigns and special missions.
Mr. García has a Master’s Degree in Computational Fluid Dynamics for External Aerodynamics in Passive Flow Control Techniques and a Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Manchester, in the United Kingdom.
